MORE ABOUT SERAS

Hellsing Ultimate is a show that is simultaneously ridiculous and a masterpiece, and I know nothing about the author but I am convinced this is entirely accidental — I really don't think a show like this can be intentionally created. The characters are absolutely bat-shit and yet oddly well-rounded versions of these sort of anime archetypes, but I ended up cosplaying Seras because her overall arc was great. She had to adapt rapidly and wildly from from minute one but somehow through everything the show threw at her, she somehow stayed true to herself and her ideals.

The garments in this costume were fairly simple and are made out of cotton broadcloth. A few details were added like a hand-painted patch and some interesting buttons. The socks are basic thigh-high socks that I severely distressed. The arm is a black spandex glove with a sculptural piece made from paper covered in Plasti Dip, halves of ping pong balls painted to look like eyes, and embedded LED twinkle lights.
