MORE ABOUT THE PROMISED NEVERLAND TRIO

I love this show. It is such a thrilling little season and so fun to watch the characters fight to leave a situation from someone both against and with them. We don't talk about season two. But also, yes, I did make this in the hype leading up to season two — which is absolutely tragic because I love how these costumes came out.

These costumes are an original interpretation of clothes show in the show. I made these costume for myself (Ray) and two of my best friends, Locomania22 (Emma) and Greengrasspony (Norman), because neither of them were really interested in the concept of making a costume that was just a white button down but I had an idea to make the looks more than just that and my friends graciously let me make them my canvas. With the exception of the wigs — we each styled our own character's wig. I designed these to have a silhouette that was true to the show but added smaller design elements that would translate the overall feel of the show to real life. At a glance these shirts are boxy white button-downs, but when one looks closer there are vine patterns adorning the yokes, collars, cuffs, and button plackets, and tucks and ties up the back. Who's to say if the vines are delicate flourishes or threatening to envelope the children who wear them, and if the ties are to keep the garments fitting fast-growing bodies or more to the effect of hospital gowns.
